This is me in the IDM design lab!

Presenting to the judges at the 2025 NYU Tandon Research Excellence Exhibit!

A bit about me!

I'm Sabria, an interdisciplinary designer majoring in Integrated Design and Media at NYU.

My passion for design is rooted in my experiences as a Bangladeshi New Yorker. Growing up, I’ve learned the importance of stories; not just those from my own family lineage, but between my friends and community members. Design in all its forms, is a thought-provoking visual story, and through the IDM program, I’ve learned to utilize the different mediums of design to tell stories. I’ve done this through creating short films, 3d modeled sets, websites, and interactive art pieces.

Aside from personal projects, I’ve worked with NYU Silver to rebrand their school’s icons, along with creating merchandise and event flyers for their student groups that weave together themes of community and activism.

Currently, I’ve been concentrating my efforts in UX/UI design as it blends together my interest in problem solving and storytelling. I’ve had the pleasure of working with a research lab at NYU Steinhardt and a partnering organization Community Word Project, to develop a web platform that teaches children how to use microelectronics.
Thanks for visiting!
